JENNINGS Funeral services for Mr. Charles Edward Litteral, 78, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 21, 2014 at Raymond United Methodist Church. Rev. Richard Teeter will be officiating. Interment will follow at Raymond United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family requests visitation be observed at Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings from 4:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday as well as 8:00 a.m. until time of services on Friday. Mr. Litteral passed away on Monday, November 17, 2014 at Lafayette General Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of the Hathaway community, where he retired as a rice farmer and cattle rancher. He was an active member of Raymond United Methodist Church. Mr. Litteral served as President of the Jeff Davis Parish Cattleman’s Association and Louisiana Cattleman’s Association. He also served as Vice President of the National Cattleman’s Board of the Directors and President of the Jeff Davis Parish Farm Bureau. While serving as Calcasieu Area Executive Director of the Boy Scouts of America, he acted as the director of Camp Edgewood. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara Brown Litteral; three daughters, Karen Litteral Landry and her husband Mark Bennett Landry of Lafayette; Glenda Litteral Granger and her husband Randal James Granger of Hathaway; Cynthia Litteral Doise and her husband Luke Byron Doise of Elton; one brother, Glenn Fredrick Litteral, Jr. of Hathaway; two sisters, Judith Litteral Heath of Paducah, Kentucky, and Darla Litteral VanFickell of College Station, Texas. Mr. Litteral was blessed with seven grandchildren; Megan Landry Andrus and her husband, Dwight Andrus IV; Sarah Landry Leftwich and her husband, Corey Leftwich; Taylor Charles Granger; Paige Alice Granger; Brittany Leigh Doise; Allie Nicole Doise; Caroline Grace Doise; and great-grandson, Harrison William Leftwich. He is preceded in death by his parents, Glenn Frederick Litteral, Sr. and Izora Wilkins Litteral. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Charles Edward Litteral to Raymond United Methodist Church or Louisiana Cattlemen’s Scholarship Foundation.
