Charles "Buddy" Frank Gauthier, Sr.

Lake Arthur Funeral services for Mr. Charles Buddy Frank Gauthier, 80 will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Rev. Clyde Thomas officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Funeral home visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Monday, June 13, 2011 and on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service. A rosary will be recited on Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. Mr. Gauthier died Sunday, June 12, 2011 at 3:00 a.m. in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur. He was a Lake Arthur High School graduate, attended USL and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Mr. Gauthier retired as a rice and soybean farmer retired and then retired from the United States Postal Service after 38 years of service. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, the American Legion Post #407, past president of the former Goretti High School Athletic Association and was chosen as Outstanding Young Farmer of Jeff Davis Parish. Survivors include his wife: Patsy Ruth Hymel Gauthier of Lake Arthur; two daughters: Julie (Randy) Fruge of Lake Arthur and Melissa Gauthier of Lake Arthur; three sons: Frank (Penny) Gauthier of Lafayette, Steve ( Cindy) Gauthier of Lake Arthur and Don (Becky) Gauthier of Lake Arthur; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Mr. Gauthier was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Hiram and Ethel Marie Trahan Gauthier.
