Jennings Funeral services for Mr. Charles Arthur Ridley 73, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 14, 2011 at Cornerstone Baptist Church with Rev. John Couch officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home. Funeral home visitation will be Sunday, March 13, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday visitation will be at the Cornerstone Baptist Church from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service. Mr. Ridley died Friday, March 11, 2011 at 1:10 p.m. in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. He was a native of Kenosha, Wisconsin and was a resident of Jennings for the past eight years moving here from Sherman, Texas. Mr. Ridley was in the US Air Force for 26 years and retired as a Master Sergeant. He was an aircraft electrician and served during the Vietnam War and received multiple honors. Mr. Ridley was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church, loved being home, enjoyed his computer and playing canasta. He was a wonderful, kind, compassionate and generous person. Mr. Ridley is survived by his wife Evelyn Ruth Willis Ridley of Jennings, LA, a daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Amanda Ridley LaComb and husband Roland James of Elton, LA, two sisters, Annabelle Ridley and Earlene Ridley of Kenosha, Wisconsin, two brothers, Fred Ridley of Tampas, Florida and John Ridley of Kenosha, Wisconsin, seven grandchildren, Caitlin , Maia , Joseph Chuan, Tanner, Marsha, Hezekiah and Liam Charles LaComb all of Elton, LA The Ridley and LaComb families would like to express a special thanks to Dr. Charles Ray, Dr. Quentin Romero, the staffs at the Jennings American Legion Hospital and the Southwest Louisiana War Veterans Home for their kindness and services.
