Charles A Monceaux, Sr

Lake Arthur 

Funeral services for Mr. Charles Adam Monceaux, Sr., 78, of Lake Arthur, will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Rev. Jay Alexius officiating.  Burial will follow in Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mr. Monceaux will begin on Monday, October 25, 2021, at 12 Noon in the Lake Arthur Funeral Home and ending at 8:00 p.m.  A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m.  It will resume on Tuesday morning at 8:00 a.m. and continue until time to leave for church.

Mr. Monceaux was born on November 6, 1942, in Lake Arthur to Melton and Frances Broussard Monceaux.  He passed away on October 20, 2021, in the Jennings American Legion Hospital.  He worked as a commercial fisherman in the seafood industry.

Those left behind to treasure his memory are three daughters, Michelle (Curtis) Bertrand of Ragley, Ramona (Brian) Matthews of Vinton, Charlotte Benoit of Lake Arthur; four sons, Charles Monceaux, Jr. of Ragley, Carlton Monceaux of Lake Charles, Donovan (Stacey) Monceaux of Sulphur, Brian (Christy) Landry of Gueydan; four sisters, Marlene (Fredrick) Guillory of Lake Arthur, Lula Mae (Jimmy) Stevens of Lake Arthur, Leola (Jimmy) Lemaire of Gueydan, Martha (Dr. Larry) Broussard of Prairieville; two brothers, Jimmy Monceaux and Ernest Monceaux, both of Lake Arthur, twenty grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Jan Monceaux; his parents, Melton and Frances Monceaux; his brother, Melton Monceaux, Jr. and his son-in-law, Arthur Benoit.
