Cecile D. Fruge

Funeral services for Mrs. Cecile O. Fruge, 91, of Jennings will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Dardar officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation will begin on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. and continue until 9:00 p.m.  It will resume Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. and continue until the 10:00 a.m. service time.

Mrs. Fruge was born on June 13, 1930 in Evangeline to Ursin and Marie Lasage Daigle.  She passed away on September 7, 2021 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital in Jennings.  She was a lifelong resident of the Evangeline community.  She loved French music and dancing.  She cherished the time she spent with her family.

Mrs. Fruge leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters; Cyndi (Charles Miller) Lyons of Evangeline; Betty (Gerald) Ardoin of Iota; and Darlene (Michael) Benoit of Lake Arthur; three sons, Don Paul Daigle of Evangeline; Randy Fruge of Iota and Harold (Darlene) Fruge of Gott’s Cove; ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, David Daniel Fruge; son, David “Dago” Fruge; daughter Rosa Gail and 4 sisters and 1 brother.
