Carita Goodreau

Funeral Services for Mrs. Carita Goodreau, 84, of Jennings, will be held on Wednesday June 29, 2022, at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church at 12:00 p.m. with Father Keith Pellerin officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 11:00 a.m. with the service following. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Mrs. Carita passed away peacefully on Sunday June 26, 2022, surrounded by her loving husband and family. She was born on April 15, 1938, in Jennings, LA, to Laurent and Ada Bertrand Clement. She was an Iota High School, Class of 1956 graduate. She worked most of her life as a bank manager for First Guaranty Bank. After retiring, she and her husband started Bon Ami Tours where they were able to travel with friends. She was proud of her musical heritage and loved dancing. Mrs. Carita also loved spending time with her family and was also known as a loving care giver to many friends and family.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 66 years, Ronald Goodreau; her daughter, Missy (Scottie) Gary; brother, Grant (Diane) Clement of Scott; grandchildren, Jessica (Stuart) Taylor and Ryan Gary; and great-grandchildren, Audrey, AnnaLeigh and Ada Taylor.

She is Preceded in death by her sisters, Audrey Hoke, Melba Roberts, Tillie Brand and Cecile Cole, brothers, Terry Clement, Hubert Clement and Purvis Clement.
