Calvin Wallace Griffith

Jennings Funeral services for Mr. Calvin Wallace Griffith, 70 will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2013 in the First Baptist Church of Jennings with Rev. L.W. Buller officiating. Burial will be in Jesse Johnson Memorial Cemetery in Kinder, LA under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Mr. Griffith died Friday, March 22, 2013 at 9:40 a.m. in Franklin, Louisiana. Funeral home visitation will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Visitation on Monday will be from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service. Mr. Griffith was a native and lifelong resident of Jennings. He was a member of the Jennings First Baptist Church, attended USL where he received his B. S. in Business and was employed as an oilfield base dispatcher. He loved to read, go hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He is survived by his wife; Sarah Buller Griffith of Jennings, LA, a daughter; Elaine (Russell) Calvert of Houston, TX, two sons; Robert (Tracie) Griffith of Houston, TX and Jason (Bonnie) Manuel of Alexandria, VA, a sister; Delores (Richard) Robertson of Jennings, LA and a brother; Jimmy (Jan) Griffith of Jennings, LA, and six grandchildren. Mr. Griffith was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Harvard and Lois Bailey Griffith.
