Calvin Lee Price

LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mr. Calvin Lee Price, 89, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 20, 2014 in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Rev. Ronald Groth officiating. Burial with full Military Graveside Honors will be in the Shell Beach Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home. Funeral home visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday; and 8:00 a.m. Saturday until time of the service. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Price died at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, 17, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Price was lifelong resident of Gueydan/Lake Arthur area. He was a high school graduate and a retired fur dealer. He loved to film, fish, hunt, and was an avid sports fan of the Saints and LSU Tigers. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Survivors includes four daughters, Cynthia Kratzer of Jennings, Debbie Rogers of Maurice, Rebecca Bertrand and husband Butch of Houma, Mary Camille Price of Lake Arthur; two sisters, Estelle “Tootsie” Marceaux and Ramona Navarre; one brother, Donald “Babe” Price; 12 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Dwyer William and Ella Benoit Price; one sister, Edorise Price (Shing) Broussard; his wife, Ida Mae Landry Price; one daughter, Theresa Price; one son, Irvin James Price and one grandson, Casey Kratzer.
