Bulen Blanchard

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mrs. Bulen LeBlanc Blanchard, 88, were held at 10:30 am, Saturday, July 11, 2009 in the Miguez Funeral Home with Rev. Anthony Fontenot officiating. Burial was in St. John the Evangelist Church Cemetery in Mermentau. Funeral home visitation was from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday and 8:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services. Mrs. Blanchard died at 2:57 a.m., Friday, July 10, 2009 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mrs. Blanchard was a lifelong resident of Mementau and a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Mermentau; she was very comfortable living at Jeff Davis Living Center and was VERY involved in the daily activities; loved gospel music; had many, many friends living there; and loved the staff of Jeff Davis Living Center. She looked forward to going home to meet her Lord. She will be greatly missed by the residents and staff of Jeff Davis Living Center and especially her family. Survivors include her loving Godchild, Debbie Soileau of Jennings, many nieces and nephews and Godchildren; two sisters-in-law, Lorraine LeBlanc of Sulphur, Evelynn LeBlanc of Sulphur; one brother-in-law, Norris Leger of Mermentau Cove and one brother, Herbert Lee LeBlanc and wife Marilyn of Mermentau.
