Buford Keith Sonnier

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mr. Buford Keith Tweek Sonnier, 54, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 26, 2013 in the Calvary Baptist Church with Brother Buddy Howard officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m., Friday and 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. when body will be taken to the church for the service. Mr. Sonnier died at 12:10 p.m., Wednesday, October 23, 2013 in the Lafayette General Hospital. Mr. Sonnier was a lifelong resident of Jennings. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the state. He loved to fish, hunt, camp, cook, gardening and most of all spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Bergeron Sonnier of Jennings; three sons, Buford Sonnier, Jr. of Scott, Todd Sonnier and Fianc Elizabeth of Jennings, Dusty Sonnier and wife Kaylin of Jennings; three sisters, Romona Touchet and husband Butch of Hathaway, Carla LeJeune and husband Gregory of Jennings, Syrepthia Sissy Broussard of Jennings; four brothers, Ricky Sonnier and wife Debbie of Jennings, Donnie Sonnier and wife Sandra of Hathaway, John Sonnier and wife Carrie of Jennings, Troy Sonnier and wife Nonie of Jennings; one grandchild, Paisley Sonnier, one sister-in-law, Karen Sonnier of Jennings; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Sonnier is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Sam and Ruby Romona Caswell Sonnier and one brother, Dale Sonnier. Pallbearers will be Buford Sonnier Jr., Todd Sonnier, Dusty Sonnier, Gregory LeJeune, Eric Sonnier and Derrick Sonnier. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ricky Sonnier and Russell Hebert.
