JENNINGS Funeral services for Ms. Brittany Joy Kopnicky, 29, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 28, 2015 in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Burial will be in the Thornwell Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be at the Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday; and 8:00 a.m. Friday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel. Ms. Kopnicky died at 7:42 a.m., Tuesday, August 25, 2015 in the Baton Rouge General Hospital. She was a native of Welsh. She loved horseback riding, fishing, and crabbing. She cherished every moment she spent with her daughter Brianna. She is survived by one daughter, Brianna Losavio of Baton Rouge; her father, Jimmy Kopnicky of Thibodeux; one sister, Shayna Guidry and husband Coy of Jennings; one brother Auston Kopnicky; her maternal grandmother, Sarah Monceaux of Lake Arthur and her paternal grandmother, Thelma Kopnicky of Welsh. She is preceded in death by her mother, Sandra Monceaux Kopnicky; her daughter, Izzabella Hope; her maternal grandfather, Herman Monceaux and her paternal grandfather Jon Kopnicky.
