Bonnie was an amazing Mother, Wife, Mawmaw, Sister, and Nani. Her passion was caring for others. She began her adult life as an Au pair for a doctor’s family. She helped many of her siblings to care for their children, always taking nieces & nephews out for fun activities, before finally having a child of her own. After successfully raising her daughter Melissa who graduated from Texas A&M, she then left her home and everything she loved behind to help raise her grandchildren. Caring for Caleb was a full-time job for the next 18 years. Feeding all those she loved was her favorite pastime, and she had a following of gumbo lovers all around San Antonio. She made friends with everyone she met and was loved by all.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Melissa (Mark Wiesehan) Broussard; sister, Verna Breaux; brother, John Chester Savoy; grandchildren, Caleb Rangel, Adessa Wiesehan and Seth Wiesehan; and a host of friends and extended family.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 70 years, Robert Broussard; her parents, Joseph Savoy, and Zoe “Ena” David Savoy; sister, Helena Elkins; and brother, AJ Savoie.
