JENNINGS Funeral services for Mr. Bobbie Atchison, Jr. 81, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 24, 2009 in the Miguez Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Funeral home was from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday; and 8:00 until time of services. Mr. Atchison died at 9:07 a.m., Tuesday, December 22, 2009 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mr. Atchison was a native Newton, Ms and a resident of Jennings 40 years. He was a retired Master Electrician in the U.S. Navy. He was proud to be an American and extremely proud of his service in the navy. His career after the Navy included contracts at the Pentagon and also in the countries of Iran and Saudi Arabia. Survivors include one son; Charles Robert Atchison and wife Helen of Jennings; two granddaughters, Sondralyn Durham and husband Joel of Boston, Mass., Ronda Ann Atchison of Lafayette; one great grandson, Kristoffer Durham of Boston, Mass.
