Jennings A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. John (Beverly Sue Bertrand) Garrie, 54, on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Burial will be in the Bertrand Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation on Tuesday, March 29th will be from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. led by Deacon Mike Tramel. Wednesday visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service. Mrs. Garrie died at 8:30 a.m., Sunday, March 27, 2011 in the Lafayette General Medical Center. Mrs. Garrie was a native of Jennings, resident of Rayne nine years moving there from Crowley. She was a graduate of Rayne High School and was a manager in retail sales. She loved the outdoors and really loved and took care of her family. She is survived by her husband, John Garrie of Rayne; three daughters, Katie Nicole Guidry and husband Michael of Crowley, Kristie Lane Morgan and husband David of Crowley, Krickette Paige Garrie of Estherwood; two sons, Kenneth Lee Credeur, Jr. and wife Kristie of Erath, Allen Michael Lopez of Crowley; three sisters, Carolyn Matte of Rayne, Karen Brignac of Evangeline, Bridgette Comeaux of Hathaway; three brothers, Ronnie Bertrand of Iota, Albert Fruge of Iota, David Fruge of Mermentau; and thirteen grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father and step-mother Camile and Jeanette Bertrand, and her mother, Lucille LaCombe Bertrand. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Bertrand, Randy Bertrand, Burt Fruge, David Fruge, Mike Brignac, Phillip Garrie, P.J. Garrie, and Colten Garrie. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Credeur, Jr., Allen Lopez, Tyler Credeur, Brock Credeur, Jake Dever, Mickel Guidry, Manden Guidry and Christian Morgan.
