Beverly Ann Crider

ROANOKE Funeral services for Mrs. Beverly Ann DeVilbiss Crider, 80, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 7, 2014 in the Roanoke Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Hieronymus officiating. Burial will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery in Welsh under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Visitation will be held at the church from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Monday; and 8:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services. Mrs. Crider died at 5:05 p.m., Thursday, January 2, 2014 in the Golden Age Nursing Home of Welsh. Mrs. Crider was a lifelong resident of Welsh and was a retired Registered Nurse. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Roanoke where she and her late husband Bob started in their living room. She taught Bible Study at Golden Age for the last four years. She worked at the Jennings American Legion Hospital, the Welsh General Hospital and Golden Age Nursing Home. Survivors include one daughter, Ruth Cardoza of Roanoke; two sons, Lee Crider of Dry Creek, Jimmy Crider of San Jose, CA; one sister, Roynell DeVilbiss Troutman of Marianna, FL; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Crider is preceded in death by her parents, Roy Norman and Gweyneth Ridley DeVilbiss; her husband Mr. Robert Bob Crider; one son, Johnny Crider; her brother, Allen Jerry DeVilbiss and her sister, Mary Gwen Bell. Family request memorials are made to the Roanoke Baptist Church or the Dry Creek Baptist Camp.
