Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Pruitt, 75, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 29, 2016 in the Miguez Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Estes officiating.

Burial will be in the Newlin Cemetery in Singer.

Funeral home visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday; and 8:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.

Mrs. Pruitt died at 12:10 p.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2016 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital.

Mrs. Pruitt was a native of Corpus Christi, Texas and a resident of Jennings for 23 years moving here from Westlake after traveling 10 years with her husband. She loved western movies, cowboy memorabilia and she loved to read western books.

Survivors include two daughters, Rhonda Devall and husband James of Jennings, Margaret Viator and husband Terry of Roanoke; one son, Ed Pruitt and wife Tena of Westlake; one sister, Mary Behrendt of Seguin, TX; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Margaret Fey Anderka; husband, Retired SSGT. Harry Pruitt and one sister, Helen Adami.
