Betty Comeaux

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Comeaux, 77, of Welsh, will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Welsh with Brother Pat Deshotel officiating. Her grandson, Chase, reading her favorite psalm and giving a testimony of her life along with her grandson Kennon, reading her obituary.  Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mrs. Comeaux will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church in Welsh.  Visitation will resume there on Thursday and conclude at the 11:00 a.m. service time.

Mrs. Comeaux was born on February 24, 1947, in Jennings, to Leon LeGros and Viola Cormier LeGros.  She was a loving, devoted and faithful wife, mother and grandmother.  The legacy she left for her children and grandchildren will continue to be a guiding light for them.  She enjoyed fishing and loved making jams and jellies and always giving her goodies to others to enjoy as well.  She was devoted to her church- First Baptist Church of Welsh, and to her Lord and Savior.  She was a comfort to all who knew her and a blessing with her servant’s heart.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Harold Comeaux; daughter, Pam Comeaux; two sons, Keith (Angie) Comeaux and Ken (Candy) Comeaux; brother, Roland LeGros; grandchildren, Kristen Comeaux, Keith Michael Comeaux, Karly (Lucas) Breaux, Chase (Rebekah) Comeaux and Kennon (Savanna) Comeaux;  great grandchildren, Izabella Dorothy Comeaux, Maddi Grace, Noah Joseph Breaux, Emma Grace Comeaux, River Ray Comeaux, John Ross Breaux and Calvin Thomas Comeaux.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Cecile LeGros and a brother, Darrell LeGros.
