Funeral services for Mrs. Bettie Glynn (Brunson) Jenkins, 84, will be held at 1:00 p.m., in the Elton United Methodist Church with Pastor Stephen Bellard officiating.

Burial will be in the China Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.

Funeral home visitation was from 4:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday; and in the church from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.

Mrs. Jenkins died at 4:30 p.m., Thursday, April 17, 2014 in the Acadian Medical Center in Eunice.

Mrs. Jenkins was a lifelong resident of Elton and a graduate of the Eunice High School. She was a retired bookkeeper for Jenkins Lumber in Elton. She loved NASCAR, LSU, the Saints, and watching birds and squirrels. She also enjoyed family time. She was a member of the Elton United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Jenkins is survived by her husband, Mr. Jack Jenkins of Elton; two daughters, Trudy Patterson and husband Don of Elton, Jackie Choate of Kaplan; one sister, Alma Reed of Eunice; two grandchildren, Daniel Patterson of Youngsville, Abby Guillory and husband Kennan of Youngsville and great-grandchild, Charles James Guillory.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Houston and Clara Arnold Brunson; and three sisters, Ora Dean Primeaux, Marsha (Tiny) Pinkard, and Wilda Gregory.
