Bernie Michael Miers

Memorial Services for Mr. Bernie Michael Miers, 72, of Roanoke will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Welsh with Rev. James “Pat” Deshotel officiating.

Visiting hours will be observed from 10 AM until time of service.

Mr. Miers was born on April 15, 1949 in Jennings to Howard and Aline Lopez Miers.  He was a high school graduate and he served in the National Guard.

Mr. Miers worked as a meat cutter for many years.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Welsh and the Christian Motorcyclist Association.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Danny Faye Henning Miers; daughter, Kelly (Pat)Deshotel; six sons, Todd (Mandi) Miers, Chad (Jeannie) Miers, Kyle (Miranda) Miers ; Ryan (Ashley) Miers, Russell (Doris)Benoit and West Benoit; two sisters, Wanda Sylestine and Rose Primeaux; brother, Rod Prejean; seventeen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Joseph “PeeWee” Miers and Robert Landry.

Cremation has been entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home.
