Bernice Marie Istre

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mrs. Bernice Marie Gott Istre, 92, will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, November 3, 2008 in the Miguez Funeral Home with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Burial will be in the Lacassine Cemetery. Funeral home visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., today, Sunday; and 8:00 a.m., Monday until time of services. A rosary was recited at 6:00 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Istre died at 11:00 pm, Friday, October 31, 2008 in the Jeff Davis Living Center. Mrs. Istre was a lifelong resident of Jennings and was of the Catholic faith. She loved to work in her yard tending to her flowers. She is survived by her four sons, Harold Landry of Gray, LA, Nelson, Fred and George Landry all of Jennings, and one brother, Walter Gatte of Sulphur; 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
