Funeral services for Mrs. Berna Dean Brown, 96, of Jennings will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Kratzer officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mrs. Brown will begin at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 7 and continue until the service time at 2:00 p.m.

Mrs. Brown was born on February 9, 1926, in Rosebud, TX to Clarence and Zelma Mabrey Wilson.  She finished high school and completed four years of college.  After college, she married the love of her life, Leon Brown. She moved to the Jennings area and has lived here since 1955. She and her husband were the proprietors and owners of the Bulldog Inn and Brown’s Jewelers.  She loved hummingbirds.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are five grandchildren, Nicole Brown, Travis Brown, Kenita Gary, Krisha LaPoint, Kristy Mazariegos: eight great grandchildren, Riana Brown, Blaize Brown, Chaz Campbell, Kyra Gary, Brae Gary, Erin LaPoint, David Mazariegos, Katianna Mazariegos and two great, great grandchild, Nova Brown and Ericka LaPointe.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leon Brown and two sons, Donald, and Larry Brown.
