Jennings Funeral services for Mr. Bennie Robert Murray, 71 will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robert Hopkins and Rev. Ronald Fontenot officiating. Burial will be in the Andrus Cove Cemetery. Visitation hours on Monday, May 18, 2105 will be from 11:30 AM to 9:00 PM. Tuesday visitation will be from 8:00 Am until the time of service. Mr. Murray died Sunday, May 17, 2015 at 10:00 AM at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Jennings. He worked for Welsh Irrigation for over 40 years. Mr. Murray was a member of the Courts of Praise Church. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren. He loved to plant his garden and then give away his produce. Mr. Murray is survived by his wife; Yvonne Murray of Jennings, a daughter; Marcellia Hopkins and husband Robert of Jennings, two sons; Jay-Jay Murray and wife Stevi of Jennings and Jason Murray of Jennings, a brother; Eddie Murray and wife Barbara of Alvin, TX and six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Maggie Murray, a son; T- Bennie Murray, Jr. and his in-laws; Anderson and Allia Fontenot. Pallbearers will be Mark Daniel, Joe Tupper, Donald Murray, Justin Hopkins, Justin Fitch and Jay-Jay Murray. Honorary pallbearer will be Parker Murray.
