Graveside services for Mr. Benjamin K Surface II, 71, will be held at the Southwest Louisiana Veterans’ Cemetery on Monday, November 15, 2021, at 11:00 a.m.

Mr. Surface worked as a security guard in the entertainment industry. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War as a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps.

Mr. Surface passed away peacefully at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2021, in a local care facility.

He enjoyed fishing, listening to music, watching western movies, collecting coins, and painting.

He is survived by his daughters, Nicole Surface of Elton, LA, Ivana Whitener of Tennessee, Teresa Parker of Florida, and Melissa Surface of Florida; sons, Joseph Surface of Lake Charles, LA, Benjamin Keith Surface III and Peter Surface; sister, Verma Surface; brothers, Omar Surface, Doyle Surface, all of Florida, and Steve Surface of Texas; 26 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Keith Surface and Bertha Mae Officer Surface and a son, Billy Surface.
