LAKE ARTHUR.Funeral services for Mr. Benjamin Martin, Jr., 63, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Our Lake of the Lake Catholic Church with Msgr. Ronald Groth officiating. Burial with Military Graveside Honors will be in the Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Funeral home visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m., Monday, June 24; and 8:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Martin died at 11:20 p.m., Thursday, June 20, 2013 in the Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. Mr. Martin was a lifelong resident of the Jennings/Lake Arthur area. He served in the U.S. Army and was an inside salesman in the oil industry. Mr. Martin was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church where he served as an usher. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, coin collecting and gardening. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Martin is survived by his wife, Pamela Fall Martin; two daughters, Kimberly Broussard of Andrus Cove, Kristy Conner and husband Olin of Andrus Cove; three brothers, Wilford Martin and wife Mabel of Andrus Cove, MJ Martin and wife Yvonne of Andrus Cove, Donnie Martin and wife Paula of Crowley and six grandchildren, Dylan Martin, Kayleigh Broussard, Kylan Broussard, Benjamin J. Martin, Marcus Conner, and Zachary Conner. He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Maria Mae Roy Martin, Sr., his son, Chad Martin and two sisters, Martha LeGros and Mary Guidry. Pallbearers will be Olin Conner, Dale Leger, Jeremy Leger, Ross Riquelmy, Dustin Martin and Marcus Martin. Honorary Pallbearer will be Benjamin J. Martin.
