ELTON Funeral services for Mrs. Beatrice Juanita Bruchhaus Sabatier, 95, will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 5, 2013 in the St. Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Marshall Boulet officiating. Burial will be in the St. Paul Cemetery in Elton under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Sabatier died at 6:10 p.m., Monday, December 2, 2013 in the Courtyard Manor Assisted Living Facility in Lafayette, where she resided for 11 years. Mrs. Sabatier was a native of Elton and a high school graduate. She attended college for two years and studied Home Economics. As a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Elton, she participated in numerous church activities. She spent her time as a devoted wife mother, homemaker and community volunteer. She is survived by four daughters, Susan Sabatier of Breaux Bridge, Patricia Nell Sabatier (Charles Ronald) Abbott of Tulare, CA, Paula Sabatier (Gregg)Doiron of Baton Rouge, Martha Sabatier (Warren) Hoag of Jennings; four sons, John Harold Sabatier of Abita Springs, LA, James Michael Sabatier (Linda Brown) of Oxford, MS, William Charles Sabatier of Henderson, Douglas John Sabatier (Diane Rosman) of Baton Rouge; one sister, Myrna Bruchhaus (RP)Walker of Lafayette; one brother, Lloyd Bruchhaus (Della Buller) of Elton; 33 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Sabatier is preceded in death by her husband of 59 ½ years, Dr. Harold Sabatier; her parents, William Karl and Aloda Vaughn Bruchhaus; sisters, Margaret Bruchhaus Daggett, Emma Bill Bruchhaus Elliott, Bertha Bruchhaus Marcantel, Dora Bruchhaus Schlesinger; brother, William Charles Budda Bruchhaus, . In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to St. Josephs Hospice of Acadiana in Lafayette, LA. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Sheila Istre for the tender compassionate care of our mother during the past 11 years.
