Beatrice Ann “Bea” Bergeron, 76, beloved Wife, Mom, Granny, Sister, Nannie and friend arrived at the gates of Heaven on March 30, 2025 while being surrounded by family.
Bea retired from the Jeff Davis Parish Clerk of Court office on November 1, 2009, after 30 years of dedicated service.
Bea’s hobbies included playing cards with her family with rummy being her favorite game. She also enjoyed fishing, taking road trips, listening to old hymnals, cooking for her family, baking and watching movies. Her favorite tv show was High Chaparral.
Bea’s legacy is one of love that was defined by her kind, gentle, loving spirit and willingness to forgive which she received from her mother. She loved everyone she met and was always there to help those around her. She spent years teaching children at Living Word Assembly of God about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her faith in Jesus Christ was steadfast and true, with her always relying on Jesus’ power to heal, to deliver, and to provide strength and guidance in times of need.
Bea is survived by her devoted husband and best friend Kenneth “Buzz” Bergeron, one son Michael (Laura) Bergeron of Sulphur, LA, one daughter Mary (Jon) Whitehouse of Jennings, LA, six grandchildren Dylan (Lizzie), Aaron, William, Makayla (Kahlil), Victoria and Lilli along with two great grandchildren Aurora and Solaire. She is also survived by two sisters Linda Skrantz and Debbie (Al) Clay of Jennings, her mother-in-law Lou Bergeron and a line of 50 nieces and nephews who all affectionately called her Nannie Bea.
Welcoming her into Heaven are Bea’s parents Jules and Audrey Murray and brothers Nathan and Donald Murray, father(s) in-law Cyrus Bergeron and Jerry Dugas.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday April 1st, 2025, in the Miguez Funeral Chapel beginning at 4:00 p.m. and will continue until 8:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday April 2, 2025, at 8:00 a.m., until the time of service.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. Officiating the services are Pastor Robert Kratzer of Living Word Assembly. She will be laid to rest in Andrus Cove Cemetery.
