Basel Neal Daniel

Jennings Funeral services for Mr. Basel Neal Daniel, 67, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 23, 2010 in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kristie Prejean officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Visitation on Thursday will be from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and continue on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service. Mr. Daniel died Sunday, July 18, 2010 at his step-daughters residence in Texas. Mr. Daniel was a native of Batson, Texas and had resided in Roanoke for the past 41 years. He graduated from Jennings High School Class of 1961 and was a retired Senior lease operator for Hess Corp. He was a wonderful son, husband, father, step-father and brother. In other words he was a good man. Mr. Daniel loved to do mechanic work and go camping. He is survived by his father, Basel Finch Daniel of Jennings; three daughters, Tina Daniel of Roanoke; Jackie Balmer and husband Jim of Bridge City, TX.; and Bernetta Demarest and husband Allen of Welsh; four sons, Kenneth Daniel and wife Rena of Roanoke, Brent McGee and Bonny of Lake Arthur, Joey McGee and wife Kathy of Welsh and Kevin McGee and wife Michelle of Welsh and one sister, JoAnn Davis and husband Byron of Jennings; 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Mr. Daniel was preceded in death by his mother, Beth Elaine Boatler Daniel, two spouses, Dale Daniel and Etta Jean Daniel and a son, Basel Shane Daniel.
