Funeral services for Mr. Barton Keith Hurst, 63, of Gueydan will be held on Monday, October 25, 2021, in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel in Jennings with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating.  Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Lake Arthur under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation will begin on Monday, October 25, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. and continue until service time at 2:00 p.m.

Mr. Hurst was born on January 7, 1958, to John William “Jack” and Catherine Cutler Hurst. He was a lifelong resident of the community.  Mr. Hurst worked in the oilfield before retirement.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are three daughters, Shelly (Chase) Guillory of Roanoke, Racheal (Brian, Jr.) Trahan of Jennings, and Ashley Hurst of Baton Rouge; two sons, Paul Hurst of Gueydan and Thomas Hurst of Austin, TX; two sisters, Sandra Seagraves of Houston, TX and Sheila Hurst Seiffert of Lafayette, GA; two brothers, William Hurst and Robert Hurst; and ten grandchildren, Alaura, Ayden, Charli, Jonah and Jack Guillory, Ethan, Ella and Evie Trahan, and Cuylin and Camden Ardoin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Peter Hurst; sister, Susan Hurst and two grandchildren, Cole Ethan Daigle and Demi Faye Guillory.
