Barbara Ruth Bailey

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Wilder Bailey, 92, will be held at 10:00 a.m. in the Jennings United Methodist Church with Rev. Walter Parker officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Crowley under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday; and at the church from 8:00 a.m. until time of service Friday. Mrs. Bailey died at 4:45 p.m., Monday, May 5, 2014 at the Jefferson Davis Living Center. Mrs. Bailey was a native of Crowley and a 61 year resident of Jennings. She was a retired school teacher after teaching for 40 years and a member of the Order of Eastern Star where she was Past Matron. She was a member of the Jennings United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Nell Reppond of Westlake; her son, William W. Bailey of Jennings; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Ruth Blakeman Wilder; her husband, Clovis Bailey; two sisters, Beverly Wilder and Peggy Wilder; and four brothers, Jack, Herschel, Samuel and George (Buster) Wilder.
