Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Ann DeMarcy Whitman will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 2, 2021 in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Arthur with Brother Lloyd Whitman officiating.  Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mrs. Whitman will begin on Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. and continue until the time of service.

Mrs. Whitman was born on August 8, 1949 in Lafayette to Lawless Joseph and Amelia Broussard DeMarcy.  She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur.  Mrs. Whitman enjoyed reading her bible, listening to music and she loved her grandkids and her dog, Connie.

She is survived by two daughters, Veronica (Travis) Hoffpauir of Sulphur and Dawanda Whitman; four sons, Kirk (Rochelle) Whitman, Daryl (Chyla) Whitman, Duffy (Ashley) Whitman and Marvin Whitman, all of Lake Arthur; twenty grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad Henry Whitman and her parents.
