Jennings A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Barbara Andrepont Landry, 73 at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday January 16, 2013, in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillian officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Visitation on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a rosary and Scripture Service by Deacon Mike Tramel at 7:00 p.m. The visitation will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service. There will be a second rosary recited at 1:00 pm before the service. Mrs. Landry died Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 3:07 pm in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mrs. Landry was a native of Iota and moved to Jennings in 1957. Mrs. Landry graduated from Iota High School where she was a member of the Iota High School 1957 Ladies Social Group. She was a homemaker, a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Society, was a catechism teacher, a volunteer for VITA (Teaching adults how to read), a Volunteer for Jeff Davis Tourist Information Bureau, a member of two Rosary groups and a Eucharistic Minister for the homebound. Mrs. Landry always had a kind, loving word for everyone she met. She is survived by her husband of 55 years; Mayo Joseph Landry, Jr., two daughters; Suzanne ( Billy) Daigle of Carencro, LA, and Sherry (Donnie) Istre of Ragley, LA, a son; Mitch Landry of Baton Rouge, LA, and three sisters; Gloria (David) Sonnier, Paulette Coleman and Melinda (David) LeJeune all of Iota, LA and a brother; Dennis (Judy) Andrepont of Pearland, TX, Maw Maw is survived by her seven grandchildren; Alison Rea Landry, Dawn Rea Landry, Nicolas J. Landry, Michael Paul Daigle and wife Brooke and Marianne Daigle, Joshua and Jacob Istre and two great grandchildren; Kasey Landry and Charlotte Verret. Her extended family members; Susan W. Smith of Roanoke, VA and Pam McNally of Baton Rouge, LA and special family friend and caregiver, Jackie Richard of Mermentau, LA. Mrs. Landry was preceded in death by her parents, Hypolite Paul and Eva Thelma Deshotel Andrepont, a son Gary Dean Landry and a sister, Nancy Gail Andrepont. Pallbearers will be Christopher Neal LeJeune, Joseph LeJeune, Joshua Istre, Michael Paul Daigle, Ronald Landry and Patrick Landry. Honorary pallbearer will be her grandson, Chief Petty Officer 1st Class Nicolas Landry stationed in Australia. The family extends their gratitude to all the caregivers of Heart of Hospice of Lafayette with a special thanks to Loretta (LoLo) LeBLanc, for her service above and beyond, and all the Camelot Brookside employees.
