On Friday, July 19, 2024, Aulden Joseph LeBlanc Sr. entered into the eternal presence of God, through the mercy of Christ’s sacrifice. It is both with sadness mixed with joy to know this, as we are confident in the heart of God but left with such an emptiness of heart here.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 23, 2024, in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Aulden LeBlanc, Jr. and Ryan Temple officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM Tuesday, July 23, 2024, and continue until the time of service.
Burial will be in the Lopez Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.
Aulden was born May 22,1942. He was born in Elton, LA, attended Hathaway High School, and graduated in the class of 1962. He found the love of his life, Peggy Gotte from Iota, and married her on June 29, 1973. They were happily married for 51 years, each demonstrating what covenant marriage should be. They had two children, Aulden Joseph Jr and Bridget Joy and three grandchildren. Aulden practiced and perfected the trade of welding, a trade he loved, and which provided for he and his family for more than sixty years. He also attended flight school in Meridian, MS and worked as a crop duster for a period of time. He served one term as police juror in Jefferson Davis Parish and participated in many community and school events with his family, always being involved in the lives of his wife, his children, and his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Peggy LeBlanc of Hathaway, LA; one sister, Brenda LeBlanc of Hathaway; two children Aulden Joseph LeBlanc Jr (wife Timberline) of Malden, MO and Bridget Temple (husband Ryan) of Jennings, LA; and he was Pappy to three beloved grandchildren, Camden LeBlanc of Malden, MO, Isaac Temple of Jennings, LA, and Caraline LeBlanc of Malden, MO.
Aulden was preceded in death by his parents Eddie and Norine LeBlanc; and one little sister Florence LeBlanc.
There are no words to account for the way our hearts feel, no grave marker that can demonstrate the rock that he was to us, and no way to measure the tenderness of his heart, the sphere of his influence, or the amount of love he had for his family. Though he spent his entire life on Grand Marais Road, he touched the lives of the world around him. It was difficult to meet him and not like him. It was impossible to know him and not love him. We will miss him every day until we see him again.
