Ashlye Bronwyn Murphy

Memorial services for Mrs. Ashlye B. Murphy, 41, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 9, 2017 in the Miguez Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating.

Ashlye’s wishes were to be cremated.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until time of service.

Ashlye died at 9:00 p.m., Monday, August 28,2017 in the Carpenter Hospice House in Lafayette.

She was a native of Jennings, resident of Lucas, Kansas 32 years moving back to Jennings. She was a graduate of the Kansas State School for the Visually Impaired in Kansas City, Mo. Class of 1993 and attended Concordia University in Concordia, KS. Ashlye worked at Heartland Hay in Lucas for over 12 years. She also worked as a CNA in the Lucas Nursing Home and the Smokey Hill Rehabilitation in Salina, Ks. Ashlye loved music and reading. She loved being with her family.

She is survived by her son, Cade Leighton Murphy, her parents, Robert (Bob) and Mary Naegele, and her Aunt Neo (Oneda Fruge).

She is preceded in death by her brother, Audie Murphy, maternal grandparents, Steve and Agnes Kimball and paternal grandparents, Roland and Margaret Naegele.
