Arthur "Sonny" Conner, Jr.

LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mr. Arthur Sonny Conner, 65, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 29, 2009 in the Miguez Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Thomas officiating. Entombment will be in the St. Anthony Mausoleum. Funeral home visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2009; and 8:00 a.m., Saturday, August 29, 2009 until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel. Mr. Conner died at 3:20 p.m., Wednesday, August 26, 2009 in the Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. Mr. Conner was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur. He attended Lake Arthur Elementary School and graduated from the Allen Military Academy Class of 1962 and served in the National Guard. He was a rice and crawfish farmer. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Segraves Conner of Lake Arthur; one daughter, Lori Conner Brown and husband Kenneth S. of Lake Charles and one grandson, Braden Conner Brown of Lake Charles. Donations may be made to Carnegie Library in Jennings or the American Diabetes Association.
