Arthur Sneed Sr.

Jennings Funeral services for Mr. Arthur O. Sneed, Sr., 93 will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brian Wells officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Visitation on Monday, February 9, 2015 will be from 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M… Tuesday visitation will be from 8:00 A.M. until the time of service. Mr. Sneed died at 2:01 A.M., February 7, 2015 in the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Home. Mr. Sneed was a native of Fisher, LA, and was a resident of Jennings for the past 67 years. He was an Army Veteran having served his country during World War II. He was very active in boy scouting and girl scouting for 35 years and was a member of the VFW and a former member Optimist Club. Mr. Sneed loved his gardening, camping, traveling and spending time with his family. He retired after serving 35 years with Louisiana State Department of Public Health He is survived by his wife; Helen Clement Sneed of Jennings, four sons; Arthur Sneed, Jr. of Jennings, LA, Jerry (Diane) Sneed of New Orleans, LA, Terry (Patty) Sneed of Middlefield, Ohio and David (Angela) Sneed of Baton Rouge, LA, two sisters; Loree Jackson and Sue Sandel, both of Florine, LA and a brother; Clyde Sneed, Jr. of Many,LA, 12 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Mr. Sneed was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Bessie Landrum Sneed and a sister, Orene Harris.
