Private burial for Mr. Arthur Charles Brandon, Sr., will be held at the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.

Arthur Charles Brandon, Sr., age 78, passed away on January 7, 2021 in his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 26, 1942 in Thibodaux, Louisiana.

Mr. Brandon is survived by five children: daughters, Melecia Brandon and Dawn Brandon of Houston, TX and Ryana Matthews, of Oakdale, LA. Sons; Arthur Brandon, Jr. of Eunice, LA, Michael Brandon of Basile, LA; sisters, Mary Turner and Lillian Philpotts of El Centro, CA. Brothers; John Offord of Washington, LA and C.J. Reed of Ocean Side, CA. He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and cousins.

Arthur is a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals, including National Defense Service, Good Conduct, Vietnam Service, Bronze Star, Air Medal, Parachute Badge, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Combat Medical Badge, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Bronze Star Medal w/V Device, Sharpshooter riffle Medal. He grew up in nearby Kinder, LA. Arthur enjoyed fishing and spending time with friends and family. He will be most remembered for his sense of humor, kindness and giving heart.

He is preceded in death by his parents Charleston Reed and Elizabeth Reed, brothers; Charleston Reed Jr. and Donald Reed.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.
