Jennings A Mass of Christian Burial will be for Mrs. Anna Marie (Young) Gary, 71 at 10:00 am on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Church with the Very Reverend Anthony Fontenot officiating. Burial will be in Bertrand Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home. Funeral home visitation will be from 10:30 am until 9:00 pm with a rosary led by Deacon Bennett McNeal at 7:00 pm on Thursday, January 10, 2013. Visitation on Friday will be from 8:00 am until the time of service. Mrs. Gary died on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 2:41 a.m. in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mrs. Gary was born on April 15, 1941 in Evangeline, LA and was a lifelong resident of Jennings. She graduated from Iota High School in May of 1959. She married Nolan Joseph Gary of Hathaway on June 6, 1959. Together they had five children. She owned Annas Nursery Rhymes Daycare Center in Jennings for 18 years. Mrs. Gary was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a lifelong member of the Catholic Daughters Society. She was also a member of the Immaculate Conception Rosary Team. She ministered to homebound congregation members until the time she became disabled. Left behind to honor her memory are three sons; Cedric Gary and wife Liz of Jennings, Cecil Gary, Sr. and Todd Gary both of Jennings, two daughters; Andrea Stains and husband Glenn of DeQuincy and Mary Whitehouse and husband Jon of Jennings, two brothers; Austin John Young and wife Mary Pinky of Jennings and Arnold Dwight A.D. Young and wife Rhonda Kay of Evangeline, 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She will be carried to her final resting place by her three sons; Cedric Gary, Cecil Gary Sr., Todd Gary and sons-in-law Glenn Stains, Jon Whitehouse and grandson Nolan Gary. Honorary pallbearers are her grandsons Cecil CJ Gary, Jr. and Dylan Bergeron. Mrs. Gary will be welcomed in heaven by her husband, Nolan Joseph Gary, four infant sons, her parents Joseph Alvin and Eula Mae (Fruge) Young, her sister Natalie Gayle Young and best friend Norman Mo Mohar.
