LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mrs. Allen (Anna Mitchell) Fitzgerald, 87, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in the Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur with Msgr. Ronald Groth officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home. Funeral home visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Tuesday; and 8:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services. Mrs. Fitzgerald was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur and a graduate of the Lake Arthur High School, class of 1943. She belonged to the American Quarter Horse Association. She enjoyed flower gardening, bird watching, antiquing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Mr. Allen Fitzgerald of Lake Arthur; one daughter, Cheryl David of Lake Arthur; two sons, Kirby Fitzgerald and wife Gail of Lake Charles, Matt Fitzgerald and wife Jodi of Lake Arthur; four grandchildren, Anthony David, Mary Ellen Sweeney, Scott Fitzgerald and Meaghan Williams; and four great-grandchildren, Nolan and Paul Sweeney and Mac and Maci Fitzgerald. She is preceded in death by her parents, James Robertus and Agnes (Glasson) Mitchell; and one brother, Walter Mitchell.
