Funeral services for Mrs. Ann Wiggins Benoit, 80, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 27, 2016 in the Cornerstone Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Taylor and Rev. Dore’ Langley officiating.

Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.

Funeral Home visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday; and at the church beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.

Mrs. Benoit died at 7:10 a.m., Monday, October 24, 2016 in the Christus St. Patrick Hospital in Lake Charles.

Mrs. Benoit was a native of Pembrook, GA and a resident of Jennings since 1959 moving here from Savannah. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church where she was in charge of the hospitality committee”. She loved working at her church, especially in the kitchen. She loved her family and flowers and kept flowers in her church. She was known for her contagious smile and was an “encourager” and inspiration to all.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Mr. Gerald “Jerry” Benoit of Jennings; three daughters, Patty Hebert and husband Ray “Poncho” of Jennings, Deanna Watts of Lake Charles, and JerriLynn Taylor and husband Rev. Paul of Livingston, LA; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren

She is preceded in death by her parents; Curtis and Laurie Moncrief Wiggins and a son, Jimmy Benoit.
