Funeral services for Angelique Marie Rougeau, 47 of Reeves, LA will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Moon officiating.  Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 13, 2021, and continue until time of service at 1:00 p.m.

Mrs. Rougeau was born in Kaplan on September 4, 1973, in Kaplan, LA to parents Lloyd Mathais and Elaine Monceaux Thimmesch, Jr.  Mrs. Rougeau moved to Reeves four years ago after leaving Lake Charles.  She received a BS degree and taught as a Paraprofessional teacher.

She loved to thrift shop.  She also enjoyed being outside and often spent that time with family and her beloved dog Poppie.  Mrs. Rougeau loved her nieces and nephews, but her special loves were her children and in particular spoiling her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Amada Rougeau; daughter Alexia (Brent) Chiasson of Lafayette; son Zachary (Courtney) Rougeau of Reeves; sister Lydia (Chad) Dietz and brother Lloyd Thimmesch, all of Hathaway; two beloved grandchildren, Wyatt Rougeau and Bastien Chiasson and her mother, Elaine Monceaux of Jennings.

She was preceded in death by her father and her sister, Sherry Thimmesch.
