Andrew H Devall

Funeral services for Mr. Andrew Hotard Devall, 63, of Jennings will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in Miguez Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Crochet officiating.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home. 

Visitation for Mr. Devall will begin on Tuesday evening, September 7, at 3:30 p.m. in the South Chapel and close at 8:00 p.m.  Wednesday, September 8, visitation will resume at 12 Noon in the New Chapel until the service time at 2:00 p.m.

Mr. Devall passed away on September 5, 2021 in Oschners St. Patrick Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on September 14, 1957 in Jennings to parents Leo Andrew and Dorothy Hotard Devall. After his high school graduation he attended technical college and went to work as a draftsman in engineering.  He was a lifelong resident of Jennings and an active member and Deacon of New Hope Baptist Church in Panchoville. He loved spending time with his family, hunting, and ministering to the youth in his community.

Andrew is survived by his wife of 20 years, Sherry Myers Devall; one sister, Mary Blair of Broussard; one brother, Jimmy Devall of Jennings; and his children, Quentin Chance and wife, Lisa Menuet Leckelt of Sunset and their children, Lauren and Peyton Leckelt, and Trey, Annelise, Isabella, and Elle Menuet. Cody and wife, Carrie Leckelt of Iota, and their children, Britney, Seth, and Jacie Leckelt. Carrie Joy Ardoin and her fiancé, Bruce Short of Houma and their children, Kara, Kalyn, Kollin, Charlie, and Ryan Ardoin. Carra Renee and husband, Joel Bellard of Jennings, and their children, Kaden and Caraline McFarlain and Olivia, Sophia, and Thomas Bellard; and Katie Red; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

God blessed him with an abundance of God-given grandchildren from New Hope Baptist Church. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Dorothy Devall and one granddaughter, Katelyn Ardoin.

Pallbearers will be Kaden McFarlain, Will Langley, Lance Langley, Randy Blair, Ben Mader, and Dakota Comeaux.
