Funeral services for Mrs. Andrea Fontenot, 53, of Hathaway, LA, will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. in the Miguez South Chapel in Jennings, with Rev. Bill Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mrs. Fontenot will begin at 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 29, 2023, and will end for the 11:30 service time.

Mrs. Fontenot was born on January 31, 1970, in Kinder to parents, George Captain and Margie Guillory.  She graduated as Valedictorian of the 1988 Kinder High School class and was a skilled basketball player as well.  She received a bachelor’s degree in pre-law from LSU.  Mrs. Fontenot enjoyed working in her flower beds and gardening, reading, and also spending quiet time with her husband and traveling together.  A favorite pastime was watching her niece, Hannah, in theatrical plays.  Mrs. Fontenot was a very loving and caring person who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Charles Fontenot; her parents, George and Margie Captain; sister, Georgann (Martin) Bourgeois of Baton Rouge; brother, Marcus (Melanie Marceaux) Captain and her beloved niece, Hannah Bourgeois.

She now rejoices in heaven with her grandparents, Manual and Rosa Captain; and Wilson and Dorothy Guillory.
