LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mrs. Lilton Chook (Amy Henry) Louviere, 88, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 8, 2009 in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Rev. Clyde Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Thornwell Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur. Funeral home visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. today, Wednesday; and 8:00 a.m., Thursday until time of services. A rosary led by the Catholic Daughters will be recited at 7:00 p.m., today, Wednesday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Louviere died at 11:50 p.m., Monday, October 5, 2009 at her residence. Mrs. Louviere was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur. She was a seamstress, caterer, and made birthday and wedding cakes. She was an avid gardener, especially tomatoes, loved going to church, loved to quilt and was a very hard worker. She was married to Mr. Louviere for 69 years. No matter who came to her house, she always wanted to feed them or send them home with some special treat that she had baked. Mrs. Louviere was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Altar Society, Thornwell Chapel. Survivors include her husband, Mr. Lilton Chook Louviere, Thornwell; two daughters, Mrs. Hubert Red (Norma) LeBlanc of Thornwell, and Ms. Ann Baby Ann Guillory of Thornwell; grandchildren, Fannell LeBlanc, Tonya Cirreto, Monica Guillory, Shannon Guillory, Mahlon LeBlanc, Damian LeBlanc; great-grandchildren, Brandon Abshire, Christopher LeBlanc, Justin Abshire, Dylan LeBlanc, Tori Touchet, Maitlan LeBlanc and Andre LeBlanc, Morgan Blanchard and Stefan Blanchard; and two great-great grandchildren, Addison and Austin Abshire. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandchildren.
