Allen Vincent

A Mass of Christian Burial for Allen Joseph Vincent, 60, of Gueydan, will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Rev. Roland Vaughn officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mr. Vincent will begin on Friday, January 13, in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Arthur at 9:00 a.m. and continue until 1:30 p.m. A Cursillo Rosary will be recited at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel then visitation will resume until the time to depart for church.

Mr. Vincent was born on March 19, 1962, in Gueydan to Wilfred and Theresa Sonnier Vincent. He was a high school graduate and a lifelong resident of Gueydan.  He worked as a roughneck in the oilfield industry.  Mr. Vincent enjoyed fishing, hunting, walking, and riding his bike.  He was a renowned duck and goose calling champion.

Those left to cherish his memory are a sister, Beverly (Rodney) Lapoint of Gueydan; three brothers, Cleveland (Jackie) Vincent and Stephen (Jamie) Vincent, all of Gueydan and Jeffrey (Arlene) Vincent of Beaumont, TX.  He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Angela Veillon and a brother, John Reed Vincent.
