Mr. Chaisson was born on August 9, 1958 in Jennings to Odule and Anna Trahan Chaisson.  He worked as a maintenance supervisor at Waffle House.  He lived in the Jennings/Hathaway area all his life.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, riding his four-wheeler around the country roads. He enjoyed his horses and his chickens and playing with his grandson. He loved raising and fostering children. He loved and enjoyed his family and was known for helping anyone he could. If you were a friend, you were a friend for life.  He served his country honorably in the National Guard.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Peggy Plaisance Chaisson; daughter, Meagan (Nicholas) Brackman of Bay St. Louis, MS; brother, Wilbert Chaisson of Basile; grandchildren Braxton Wyatt Brackman and soon to be born Jaxon Allen Hunter Brackman; and brothers from another mother, Bryan Plaisance, Ricky Plaisance, Doug Statham, Roland LaCombe and Randy Fontenot.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Layla Raye-Marie Chaisson and three brothers, George, Arnold and Jerry Chaisson.

The family would like to thank Dr. Amanda LaCombe, Lake Charles Memorial Oncology and The Heart of Hospice for their deep care and compassion.

The family would prefer mask to be worn during the visitation.
