Funeral services for Mr. Arthur A. Stackhouse, Jr., 83, of Jennings will be held on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in Jennings United Methodist Church with Rev. Walter Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home with Military Honors.

Visitation for Mr. Stackhouse will begin on Sunday evening, September 22, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. and continue until 7:00 p.m.  Visitation will resume Monday morning at Jennings United Methodist Church from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.

Mr. Stackhouse was a draftsman.  He was a retired Army officer.  He enjoyed barbecuing, fishing, and served his church community as a lay minister. He also traveled outside of the United States as a missionary.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory daughter, Julie (Earl) Sparks of Jennings; Ricky (Connie) Stackhouse of Lake Charles; brothers, James (Elaine) Stackhouse of Jennings, Kenneth (Sandra) Stackhouse of Lake Livingston, TX, Steve (Debbie) Longenbaugh of Sulphur; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Stackhouse was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Allan and Lula Longenbaugh Stackhouse and his beloved wife, Yvonne Anding Stackhouse.
