Aline Marie Sonnier

Jennings A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Aline Marie (Remy) Sonnier, 91 will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 5, 2011 in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Mark Hollier will be the altar server. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. today Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011 and from 8:00 a.m. until the time of services on Wednesday. Mrs. Sonnier died January 2, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. She was a native of Belgium and resided in Jennings for the past 61 years coming here from Germany. Mrs. Sonnier was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, the Ladies Altar Society and a former member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She was the retired owner of Cajun Lumber Company. Mrs. Sonnier is survived by her husband, Remy Sonnier of Jennings; two daughters, Jackie Bougard and her husband Mike of Jennings, LA., Janine Hollier and husband Douglas of Jennings, LA.; three sons, Henry Sonnier and wife Cynthia of Lake Charles, LA., Robert Sonnier of Baton Rouge, LA. Billy Sonnier and wife Debbie of Seabrook, TX., 17 grandchildren, Matt (Marcy) Sonnier, Greg (Roxanne) Sonnier, Chris (Suzy) Sonnier, Stuart ( Jessica) Sonnier, Scott (Maureen) Sonnier, Jon (Michael) Sonnier, Karen (Brian) Miksch, Angie (Robert Sturcken “fianc) Behan, Marcus (Kathi) Bougard, Bobby (Erin Carr- fianc) Bougard, Andrew Woody Bougard, Brad (Elvira) Hollier, Kelly(Cole) Bistok, David Hollier, Kate Hollier, Mark Hollier, Sarah Hollier; 10 great grandchildren, Gavin Sonnier, Madalyn Sonnier, Ainsley Sonnier, Jacob Sonnier, Jude Sonnier, Brennan Sonnier, Christian Sonnier, Kevin Hollier, Ashley Kaldor and Chelsea Vinson. Pallbearers will be Chris Sonnier, Matt Sonnier, Jon Sonnier, Marcus Bougard, David Hollier and Stuart Sonnier. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Sonnier, Greg Sonnier, Bobby Bougard, Andrew Woody Bougard and Brad Hollier. Mrs. Sonnier was preceded in death by her parents, Arsene and Augusta DHerde Pauwels of Belgium.
