JENNINGS Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Broussard Hanks, 78, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 19, 2012 in the Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery under direction of Miguez Funeral Home. Funeral home visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday; and 8:00 a.m. Monday until time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Hanks died at 12:30 a.m., Friday, March 16, 2012 at her residence. Survivors include one daughter, Benita LeGros and husband Johnny; one son, Bennett Hanks and wife Denny, grandson she raised as her own, Christopher Hanks; one sister, Cora Benoit; five grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren, and best friends, Mary Fruge and Mrs. Rose; numerous nieces and nephews Godchildren and other family members. Mrs. Hanks was a lifelong resident of Jennings. She was owner and operator of Paws Liquor Store. She was a member of the Square Shooters Dance Club, previously worked at Morgan and Lindsey. She was a member of Catholic faith. She loved spending time with her family and will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time at the casino. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Willard Hanks, one grandchild, Tiffany Lehman and three great grandchildren, Madison Lehman, Jayce Lehman and Taylor Hebert, one sister, Norma Cormier and one brother, Amede Ga
