Alfred Bertrand

Jennings Funeral services for Mr. Alfred Louis Bertrand, 91 will be held on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 1:30 P.M. at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of Seven Dolors Cemetery of Welsh under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Funeral home visitation hours today, Thursday, September 17, 2015 will be from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with a rosary being recited at 6:30 P.M. Visitation will continue Friday morning from 8:00 A.M. until the time of service. Mr. Bertrand died Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at 11:42 P.M. in Camelot Brookside Nursing Home. He was a native of Thornwell, LA and was a retired farmer. Mr. Bertrand enjoyed family gatherings and family dinners. He was a happy individual and always had a smile on his face. He loved people and was a very Cajun family man. He is survived by his two daughters; Patricia Bertrand of Jennings and Tasha B.(Shane) Wilkinson of Welsh, La. and a son; Ira Lee ( Darla ) Bertand of Jennings, six grandchildren; Chantay (Skip) Broussard, Tricia (Bill) Lindsey, Shannon (Angie) Bertrand, Mandy Bertrand, Cole Wilkinson and Cypris Wilkinson, 9 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ira Joseph and Olivia Bellard Bertrand and his wife, Eula Mae Bertrand.
