Funeral services for Mr. Albert Trahan, 78, of Crowley will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with his grandson Cauy Breaux and Jason Corder officiating. Burial will follow in the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

The visitation will begin Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 12:30 p.m.

Mr. Trahan passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 17, 2024, in the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Home.  He was born on December 6, 1945, in Jennings, LA to Ramie Trahan and Ina St. Germain

Mr. Trahan loved fishing and really loved to participate in the fishing rodeo held at the Veterans home.  He enjoyed gardening, carpentry and giving his family a hard time.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Melinda Monceaux Trahan; two daughters, Suzette (Joey) Breaux and Krystal (Scott Hebert) Trahan both of Crowley; son, Neil (Megan) Trahan of Crowley; sister, Anolia Jane Tall of Jennings; two brothers, Joseph Trahan and Earl (Diana) Breaux both of Mermentau; and fourteen grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jean Janice.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Home for upkeep of the pond and fishing rodeo.
